Find the difference. (4x^2 - 6x + 8) - (3x^2 - 6x + 2) I got x^2+12x+6 can someone tell me if I got this right? If I didn't what did I do wrong, and what is the correct answer?

I think its either x^2 -12x +6 or its x^2 + 0x +6 .. because im not sure if you do -6 minus -6 or -6 minus 6 .. cant remember of you bring both signs with it.
\(\bf (4x^2 - 6x + 8) - (3x^2 - 6x + 2)\implies 4x^2 - 6x + 8 - 3x^2 + 6x - 2\\ \quad \\ {\color{blue}{ 4x^2 - 3x^2}} {\color{red}{ + 6x- 6x}} - 2+ 8\)
So I ment to put x^2-12x-6
\(\bf - (3x^2 - 6x + 2)\implies {\color{red}{ -}}3x^2{\color{red}{ +}}6x{\color{red}{ -}}2\)
@jdoe0001 I don't understand, is the answer x^2-12x-6? thats what I got
\(\bf (4x^2 - 6x + 8) - (3x^2 - 6x + 2)\implies 4x^2 - 6x + 8 - 3x^2 + 6x - 2\\ \quad \\ {\color{blue}{ 4x^2 - 3x^2}} \cancel{{\color{red}{ + 6x- 6x}}} - 2+ 8\)
