okay. First, multiply both sides by x to get it out of the denominator. You get -y=-1/2x. Second, multiply or divide both sides by -1, to get rid of the negative in front of y. You get y=1/2x. Third, multiply both sides by 2, so that there is a whole number (1) in front of x. You get 2y=x.
