Rome once was a small settlement that. One day many different people change Rome and made it a better place. Laws, The Republic and restrictions were enforced. Also, most of the laws that were enforced are still enforced till this day. Instead now they are more organized and strict. The Roman Empire began in Italy.There were four types of groups that settled there One which was the Etruscans who settled North. Second Greeks who settled South and third and fourth Latins and Samnites which settled in the Latium. Some protection that these groups had were the Apennine Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. The Appenine Mountain protects farmers and sheppard's. The Mediterranean Sea helped everyone to be able to travel through the ocean and trade. Last, since there were two settlements next to each other Rome formed int a multicultural city. Since Rome became multicultural there had to be some kind of order there.So, once the Romans overthrew the monarchy altogether they created a new government and republic. Members of the republic started to vote for leaders to listen to their concerns. The people they elected were called consuls.After there were councils the consuls appointed Patricians that have three-hundred member senates. The last group of government was the assembly. The assembly proposed and voted laws for the council. The main important famous people back then that we should know about are Romulus and Remus. Romulus and Remus are twin brothers.In the beginning they were raised by their Great Grand-father but, then he abandoned them. Then, they were found by a mama wolf and she took care of them until they were old enough to take care of themselves.
