1. You could talk about how Germans thought Jews were taking away jobs and detrimental to society, because they wanted to weed out the Jews to have a super perfect human race. 2. Auschwitz is a pretty well known concentration camp. You could talk quite a bit about the death, disease, and hunger going on in the camps, as well as the poison gas used to kill many people. In all probability, your family died? The US will probably be shocked, so somehow expand on that. 3. As a future, I'd say probably immigrate to the US and try to build up a better life in general. Just some ideas.

Children in such a photograph aren't going to have any clue about what the US did about their plight. They would probably think of their future in terms of going back to the home they knew before. It's probably safe to say they weren't sent to the camp for being homosexual. Children are usually not aware of sexuality and certainly wouldn't have lived through it being openly gay in Nazi Germany.
