Help!!! I need someone to explain step by step how to do this problem. I will fan and medal

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

Factor completely 6a^3 - 10a^2 + 3a -5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First: split the equation in half:(6a^3-10a^2) and (3a-5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay the answer is(2a2 + 1) • (3a - 5) to get this you need to figure out what * 3a=6a^3 which you get 2a^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2a^2 goes in the first parenthesis as the first number.now you need to figure out 2a^2 * what=-10a^2 which would be -5.... -5 goes in the second parenthesis as the last number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you also need to figure out what *-5=-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be +1 this goes in the second parenthesis as the second number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last you know that you still need a 3a.... plug it into the second parenthesis as the first number.. check your work after plugging in your puzzle pieces.

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!
