Well I don't like this question, but we were asked to answer it, personally I don't think that there was a "hero", Yes, I know they all tried to help each other(mostly nick) but in the end they all hurt each other in many ways, I think Gatsby was the most despicable person. He lied too much and he's too desperate.

yea i could see that but Gatsby took the blame for nicks wife murder (forgot her name) also nick did say that gatsby was better than all of them. Than in the funeral tom and his wife were a no show

But in the end Gatsby was the real cause for all of it, Daisy did not ask for Gatsby to come back into her life, I also blame Nick for encouraging it. But yea I get what you're saying about the funeral.
