In my notifications it says that i have 60 fans but on my profile it says i have 53. Why is this happening?

This is because people unfan you. Your notifications show how many people have fanned u total, and on your profile, it is the number of fans presently.

One effect of being a mod is a lot of random people fan you - and unfan you just as quickly as they figure out that they have thus bought themselves absolutely no exceptions from the Code of Conduct. And I got trolled by the Puddings, who all fanned me from many different accounts all with "Pudding" in the name, and had to get an admin to blank all the accounts. I picked up about fifty unfans in one day there.
