Which of the following are true? Fractions and ratios cannot have zero in the denominator Fractions and ratios are different names for the same thing. Some fractions and ratios can be written as mixed numbers .Fractions and ratios can be simplified the same way.

I'm assuming only one answer is right?

OpenStudy (mackenzie2013):

There can be more then one answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, okay. The first, second, and fourth ones look correct to me. You can never have a 0 in a fraction (as denominator) or in a ratio. Fractions and ratios pretty much work the same way and they're similar, if not almost the same thing. Only fractions can be written as mixed numbers, so C is out. Fractions and ratios work the same way, and therefore, can be simplified the same way as well.
