OpenStudy (anonymous):

ive heard this before but my lightbulb wont light up on top of my nogen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you mean *noggin*?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know it tho?

r there answer choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello? r u still there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (roadjester):

Certain WAVELENGTHS emit certain colors of light from the VISIBLE light spectrum.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OMG THANK YOU YOU JUST GOTTA NEW FANNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (roadjester):

umm ok, was that all you needed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here's the question.... Name and compare the different characteristics of the electromagnetic spectrum?

OpenStudy (roadjester):

@Macy86 was that all you needed help with?

OpenStudy (roadjester):

ok, so the part f the EM spectrum that humans can see is visible light instead of typing it all out you can take a look yourself http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_spectrum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah thats it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean by part "f"

OpenStudy (roadjester):

part of* not part f sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

btw, im only in 8th grade, so it has to be in really simple language.. lolz is there anyway you can explain it in 2-3 sentences? or 1 at least?

OpenStudy (roadjester):

ouch; The electromagnetic spectrum is usually taught in the Electricity and Magnetism part of Physics which is usually college level material...either that or it's AP Physics (at least) which is high school what is middle school teaching people these days?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm home schooled so i guess they expect me to be ahead..

OpenStudy (roadjester):

Ok so you've got gamma rays, x-rays, UV rays, visible light (which we can see) , IR (infared) microwave, and radio waves. The gamma rays are the most dangerous since they have the greatest frequency and shortest wavelength. Radio waves are the least harmful to humans since they have the lowest frequency and longest wavelengths. The stronger the frequency the more harmful. Wavelength and frequency are inversely related.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm totally not tho lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow... ALOT simpler than i thought....

OpenStudy (roadjester):

that it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes- thanks so much. i'm already ur fan, but i wish i could give you a medal... ur awesome. my fav tv show is on- so i gotta go. BYE! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay! i figured out how to give u a medal. :) bye now.
