Question

Hey i need some help with science class, i'm doing a project called egg drop, we need to protect an egg with limited supplies, 2 sheets of paper, 2 paper clips, 8 plastic straws, and 2 feet of scotch tape, my idea is to make some sort of parachute out the paper, let me know some ideas, also if you think my parachute idea wont work well please tell me! Thanks, ill award my favorite idea with a medal+fan

I don't think the parachute will slow it enough, but testing will tell. I like crumpling up the paper skillfully to make cushioning that absorbs the impact.
What to do with the straws? Beats me.

My idea is to wrap the egg in paper, then wrap the straws, then tape that all up, also i am allowed 2 rubber bands, so i will wrap those too, what do you think about that?

Crumpling the paper cleverly will help absorb shock.
Rubber bands and straws suggest making some kind of sling
or cradle, though perhaps they give you more stuff than is optimal.
