Why is ethnic conflict common in Sub-Saharan Africa?

Because people would sooner fight than talk. If the warring sides put down their weapons and talked, they'd find each other to be normal human beings just like themselves.

Same applies worldwide between races. We ALL have red blood, we ALL breathe air, we ALL drink water, so we are essentially the same.
