His liabilities are larger than his assets. <---thats what i think it is His assets are larger than his liabilities. His assets and liabilities are the same. His assets and liabilities do not affect each other

You're right :) Assets are, well, available resources, vs liabilities, which are basically debts. If liabilities are larger, than the net worth (which I can't express in other words, really) should be negative, meaning, all in all, he's in debt.
