OpenStudy (kittyjosh):

As wwhitlock said, the Treaty of Versailles could have been prevented by continuing to fight. The Treaty of Versailles brought World War 1 to an end, set up the League of Nations which followed Wilson's 14 Points Plan, and placed all blame on Germany for the war. The Treaty also created Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, and Poland. So truly, the only way it could have been "prevented" was if the war continued to rage on, or all countries involved simply dropped the matter, and discontinued fighting for nothing.

and can you please explain why they didnt keep the war going?

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Why would anyone want to prevent a peace treaty?
