a car is traveling at 70mph when the breaks are applied. the car comes to stop in 75 meters. What is the speed of the car(in mph) after the first one-third of the stopping time

OpenStudy (theeric):

Hi! Have you tried to find a solution yet?

OpenStudy (theeric):

What I think you should consider first is that the car is \(\sf slowing\ down\), so it is \(\sf changing\ its\ velocity\). Does that help at all? What is a change in velocity? You're changing your velocity over a know \(\sf distance\). Do you have any equations that have a \(\sf change\ in\ velocity\) and \(\sf distance\) involved? That would be a good place to start, I think. And then you have to know how the \(\sf velocity\ changes\) in a certain amount of \(\sf time\). Do you have any equation for that, maybe?

OpenStudy (theeric):

Good luck! I might not be on later, but you should ask questions and bump the question as you need to!
