how many units apart are points (-8,-8) & (4,8)

best way to figure it out is make a triangle using the points. the difference between the x's and the y's will be your rise and run, so 4-(-8) and 8-(-8). So you get 12 and 16 as your triangle legs and then you use a^2+b^2=c^2 to solve for the distance. In this case your a=12 and b=16, so just solve for c then. Hope this helped
