B.) Nullification. Nullification is a theory that a state has the right to nullify, a federal law which the state has found to be unconstitutional. The theory has rarely been accepted in courts. Founding Father Thomas Jefferson was a huge fan of this theory, as seen in the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions of 1798.
