I'll give a medal for the correct answer What is the x-intercept of the graph y = 2x - 14? -14 -7 0 7

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

when the equation of a graph is in the form of y = mx + b m = slope b = intercept so... your intercept is ??

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

y-intercept occurs when x=0, and x-intercept occurs when y=0. Therefore, you can put y=0 in the equation to find the x-intercept :)

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

This will also apply to all the other questions trying to find the x-intercept or y-intercept, or both.

I agree..to find the x intercept, sub in 0 for y and solve for x

Thanks, I understand now
