Indicate which of the following will produce a magnetic field: Check all that apply. An ordinary piece of iron. A piece of any metal. The voltage of a battery not connected to anything. A moving electric charge. An electric charge at rest. An electric current. A magnet. The Earth.
a moving electric charge a magnet the earth I think An electric charge at rest. is also included. I am not sure
I thought it was, ordinary piece of iron, moving electric charge, electric current, magnet and earth
how would electric at rest be included, bc u need electric charge to move to proudce current and if there is no charge moving means no current
www.infoplease.com/encyclopedia/science/electricity-properties-charges-rest.html
isnt that for electricity this is talking about a magnetic field are they the same thing
electromagnetic field? Oh and Iron is included http://info.ee.surrey.ac.uk/Workshop/advice/coils/mu/
is that the same as magnetic, we learned each one separately.. is it would be iron, magnet, earth and moving charge the one that says at rest is the opposite of moving though
@agent0smith
A moving electric charge. An electric current. A magnet. The Earth. these
@AntiNode iron CAN be magnetized, it isn't by default. Charges at rest don't create fields either.
thanks for the information @agent0smith ... I was thinking of electron when i was thinking about electron (a charged particle) my bad
A non-moving electron has no magnetic field
Thank you very much, i thought iron is attracted to magnet
^ it is. As i said "iron CAN be magnetized, it isn't by default. "
ohh oki thank you very much
