A big problem I had when I was solving these, was the simple fact that we search of all the value of x, that satisfy the inequality, so looking at the exercise: \[4x>2\] we are asked "What values of x, multiplied by 4 gives me a number greater than 2?" So what we will do, is transform the ">" sign into a "=" to help us find the exact value of x that multiplied by 4, gives us a value of 2: \[4x=2\] \[x=\frac{ 2 }{ 4 }\] \[x=\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }\] So, in the value of 1/2, the inequality is actually 2, but since we are asked rigourously greater than 2, we shall study it's sign: 1/2 -----------I------------------>x S:(1/2;infinity) So we can easily deduce that any value of x greater than 1/2 will satisfy the inequality. the graph, would look like this: |dw:1393115263615:dw|

okay thank you how about the next problem after that?

because you actually did number one
