Rule: Convert word problem to an mathematical expression

Translate the words into mathematical terms: "the sum of": + "a number": a variable such as x times: x and: "23" "is at most": <=

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

"The sum of a number times 4" 4 * x + "and 23 " 4x + 23 "is at most -15" <-- it can be less or -15, it cannot be more than -15 \(\bf 4x + 23 \le -15\)

The wording of this problem is not the best-it would be clearer if the problem read, "the sum of 23 and a number times 4 is at most 15".

yeah I kept reading it and saying this doesn't sound right. Thanks you guys.
