Parallelogram FGHI on the coordinate plane below represents the drawing of a horse trail through a local park.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In order to build a scale model of the trail, the drawing is enlarged on the coordinate plane. If two corners of the trail are at point A (0, 4) and point D (-6, -5), what is another point that could represent a corner of the trail? (9, -5) (6, -5) (12, -5) (3, -5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It cant be the third one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@wio are you still there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I really need help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got the second one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i found out the scale factor is 3 and got the second choice

OpenStudy (triciaal):

did you figure the factor of 3 ? the measure of 4 would be 4x3 = 1 2 from d (-6,-5) x value -6 +12 = 6 yvalue has to be -5 (Same line) possible point (6, -5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i just did that thanks for validating my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you mind helping me with another? @triciaal

OpenStudy (triciaal):

post it

OpenStudy (triciaal):

still having computer problems

An artist designed a badge for a school club. Figure ABCD on the coordinate grid below shows the shape of the badge.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The badge is enlarged and plotted on the coordinate grid as Figure JKLM with point J located at (1, -6) and point M located at (3, -2). Which of these could be the possible coordinates for a vertex? (-1, -6) (5, -2) (6, -6) (7, -2)

OpenStudy (triciaal):

use the same method find the slope factor move the points by the equivalent units

OpenStudy (triciaal):

2/1 : 4/2 factor of 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The second one

OpenStudy (triciaal):

c now5 , - 2 b (1, -6) 3x2 = 6 x value 1 + 7 = (7, 6-

OpenStudy (triciaal):

yes that's it'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wooo thanks !

OpenStudy (triciaal):

you are so welcome
