Suppose you know that for each scratch-off ticket you buy for a certain “instant win” lottery game the probability of winning is 1/100. You have purchased 99 tickets so far, with no luck. What is the probability that the next ticket you buy will be a winner?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, if it is 1/100 and you did 99, the next one is probably going to win.
