I would try to split the function in two parts. The funcion of the problem, is equivalent to this one, \[f(x)=\begin{cases}1-2x \ \ x\leq0 \\ 1 \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ x > 0\end{cases}\] And then, I would prove the function is continuous in x=0, that is the only point where the function can have a problem.
