In general, surface area means nothing but sum of all sides area.... In the given diagram... there are 4 triangles.... area of triangle is A=(1/2)*base* height so, hear A= (1/2)*3*6=9 hear there are 4 triangles so 4*9=36 one part is over..... Now, see down there is square..... area of square is s^2 so 3^2=9 so total area of pyramid is 36+9=45 that's it...
