I think you should go with something like... Let Her Go by Passenger, maybe?

First - Good luck. And maybe something like owl city or prince, some major star, that's pretty influential, it will probably impress if you can pull it off, and get an audience, most likely.

Whatever you sing, make sure it's within your range. Better to sound good in a limited range than less than stellar in a wide range.
