If you're looking for format, with my own persuasive essays, I usually use the basic 5-paragraph structure. The first would be my intro. I'd start off with a general sentence. Then I'd relate it to the topic I'm going to be talking about with my next, and then my thesis would be the last three sentences.
Now, I'm careful to make each one cover a different point of my argument, because they are basically going to be the basis of the following three paragraphs. My first point will be the focus of my first paragraph, my second point of my second paragraph, etc.
Then, in the conclusion, just restate it all in a different way, while not introducing anything new to my argument.
