PLEASE HELP!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Destinymasha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Destinymasha, can you please help me?

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank God you came :D LOL

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

:] whats up?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here's the question: If you are looking at your reflection in the concave side of a spoon and begin to move the spoon further away from your face, what will you see happening? You will see yourself upside down and growing larger. You will see yourself upside down and getting smaller. You will see yourself right-side up and getting smaller. You will see yourself right-side up and growing larger.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought B?

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

hmmm.....let me think lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk :D

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

well, i know it diverts/refracts light

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please are you sure with this answer? because it'll grade really quick :P

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

put that you think -- if its not right, its mine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :D I GOT IT RIGHT!

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

yaya!

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

oh--i cant find my answer lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

. Miguel is skipping rocks across the surface of a lake. After he throws it, each stone goes through the following motions: the stone moves toward the water the stone hits the surface of the water and bounces off gravity pulls the stone back toward the water the stone enters the water and slows down In which part of the stone's movement is the stone most like a beam of light that is being refracted? I III II IV

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the following motion at the top are also in numerical order... as the multiple choices below...

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

the stone enters the water and slows down

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which is IV, correct? :)

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

when the rock slows down --i think its gonna refract light --at least that's what I think

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it right again :D

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

yay! lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following describes the bending of light due to a change in its speed? transmission reflection refraction absorption

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

refraction, of course~

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think refration?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

correcto!!! Si!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The amount of work done to produce a sound determines which property of sound waves? frequency amplitude wavelength pitch

OpenStudy (anonymous):

amplitude?

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YAY!!! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you are attending a rock concert and the sound of the guitar is much louder than the singer’s voice, which of the following conclusions would be most reasonable? The guitar is producing sound waves of a longer wavelength than the singer’s voice. The singer is producing sound waves of a longer wavelength than the guitar’s strumming. The singer is producing sound waves of a higher amplitude than the guitar’s strumming. The guitar is producing sound waves of a higher amplitude than the singer’s voice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think D?

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

i think so too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) CORRECT!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If a black car and a white car are left in the Sun, the black car will tend to be hotter. This is because the black car's surface will _______ more light energy than a white car. absorb conduct refract reflect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

absorb?

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

i think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) i'm getting all of them right!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following is a technological application of sound? a digital camera that records color and intensity of light in a pattern a microwave that quickly heats up food a sonogram machine that examines babies before birth a high definition receiver that provides a very sharp television picture

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

I think D -cause a receiver is where signals are converted into sounds

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's not the answer..:( the answer was C...

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

oh no ;/ sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's ok, Which of the following word pairs correctly completes the sentence below? Mechanical waves travel faster through _______ than through _______. a vacuum, air liquids, solids air, liquids solids, liquids

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think this is A?

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

i was actually thinking D

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

Sound waves travel faster through a denser medium

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :)

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

wlcm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

. When a wave passes from one medium to a second medium, part of the wave is transmitted into the second medium, and part of the wave is reflected back into the first medium. When a wave splits in this manner, the amplitudes of the transmitted and reflected waves each decrease at first and then become greater than the amplitude of the original wave. are each equal to the the amplitude of the original wave. are each greater than the amplitude of the original wave. are each less than the amplitude of the original wave.

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or maybe i'll tag @wio

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just to get a second advice...

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Is this a whole test?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope just practice quiz :)

OpenStudy (roadjester):

Looks like wave optics.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what letter choice is that @roadjester?

OpenStudy (roadjester):

I meant this quiz in general; it looks like this is a quiz on wave optics.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but can you help me?

OpenStudy (roadjester):

It's been a while. Let me find my notes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :) *crosses fingers*

OpenStudy (roadjester):

Two things come to mind here, interference patterns, and \(\pi\)-phase shift. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say amplitude stays the same....sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you tried your best... thank for trying to help me :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

. If an object emits or reflects light it must be the color white. it cannot be a gas. it has a smooth surface. it can be seen by the eye.

OpenStudy (roadjester):
