What happens to an enzyme after it has catalyzed a reaction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

enzymes are usually proteins, so when used, they inactivate and wait for another reaction where it is needed. enzymes are catalysts so they are not used up in the reaction. they only affect the threshold needed for a reaction to occur

sunshao is right . Nothing happens to the enzyme. After catalyzing the reaction the products formed at the enzymes active site are released and the enzyme reverts back to its original conformation.
