9. Explain the difference in temperatures between lower and higher latitudes.

Low latitudes are close to the equator. The temperatures are warmer as the latitude decreases, so they are very warm at low latitudes. A high latitude designates a point that is far away from the equator, e.g. the north or south pole, so, farther away something is from the equator, the higher your latitude.
