OpenStudy (anonymous):

assume that x and y are both differentiable functions of t. Find dy/dt for 2x^2+y^2=9, dz/dt=3, x=2, and y>0

OpenStudy (wisp):

Take he derivative of your given function in terms of t. So, \[4x \frac{ dx }{ dt }+2y \frac{ dy }{ dt }=0\] This is as far as I'm sure of what to do. I'll have to look up where to go from there.
