how do i find the area of the shaded region on a circle of it gives me 2 radiuses

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The whole area of the circle is pi r^2 and that is for 360o around it, Figure out what fraction the angle determined by the two radii is. If 90o, then fraction is 90/360 of the area of the entire circle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it makes a 90 degree angle but it say r=18 and r= 18 ,,,im lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do not see the shaded figure. If it uses a 90o angle, then either the shading is 1/4 or 3/4 of the whole circle and thus 1/4 or 3/4 of the whole area.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area of whole circle is (3.14)(18)^2

how about you write down a more concrete question so we can show you how to approach it conceptually
