I'm not sure if this has anything to do with Computer Science, but I can help anyway.

First, you're going to need a better graphics card. You can check and see if your motherboard has a PCI or PCI-E slot. Going off of that, look for a card with at least 128 MB of VR (Video RAM).

Next, buy a better processor. A Pentium 4 just won't cut it. Make sure the processor you're getting is compatible with your MB (motherboard) otherwise it won't fit. I recommend the Intel Core i5 processor. If you don't have a money limit, get an i7.

Your RAM amount is pretty good, but if you want to run some pretty demanding games, you should get more.
