the measures of two angles of a triangle are 18 degrees and 62 degrees. Which type of triangle is it?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well what is the measure of the 3rd angle.... ? then you will be able to comment on the type of triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the other angle is 100 degrees

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... so there are no equal angles so its scalene... and the 100 angle tells you the type pf scalene... so what type of angle is 100..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the anwser choices are : A. acute B. equiangular C obtuse D right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so wouldnt it be C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or would it be acute....

OpenStudy (nikato):

You were right at first, obtuse. 100 is an obtuse angle. If any angle is obtuse(greater than 90) then it is obtuse. An acute triangle is only when all 3 angles are acute

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!
