I LITERALLY HAVE 3 MINUTES TO SUBMIT THIS, MEDAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 Your friend hands you a graph of the engine power statistics of a race car. He says "I know this is a translated graph of either x2 or x3, but I can't figure out which one." Using complete sentences, explain to your friend how to tell if it is an even or odd function, and how to determine the amount the graph has been translated.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it's x^2, then both ends will be either going towards the negative or going towards the positive; meaning that it's an even function. If it's x^3, then one end will go towards the negative and the other towards the positive; meaning that it's an odd function.

Once whether it is an x^2 or x^3 graph has been determined, all you need to do is compare the graph with a plain x^2 or x^3 graph and apply translation rules to determine the translation.
