To solve the equation 8^(7x) = 68, apply the natural logarithmic function on each side of the equation. Therefore, ______ (8^[7x]) = _______ (68). What am I suppose to put on both lines? It says, "Enter a mathematical equation" when I hover my mouse over it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\log_e 8^{7x}=\log_e (68)\] Then you bring down the 7x etc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks but the correct answer is "ln". Webassign was not accepting "LN" because it was in caps...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ln is actually the same as log_e
