What is the main difference between Radioactivity and nuclear fission ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Radioactivity is a general term, including emission of alpha and beta particles and high-energy photons like gamma and x-rays. Fission is the splitting of atomic nuclei, rather than just the emission of energetic entities.

Radioactivity is SPONTANEOUS Nuclear fission.. is well.. not so :P..

and there are so many statistical details radioactivity follows nice statistics.. its decay rate and all that but if you have fission on your hand, and u let that bad boy outta hand.. well u get the hiroshima nagasaki incident..!
