If there are 20 centromeres in a cell at anaphase, how many chromosomes are there in each daughter cell following cytokinesis?

I know its 10, but why?

see at anaphase total no of chromosomes split and half of them go to each cell...so for eg...v have 20 chromosomes...so 10 go to 1 cell and 10 to other..

so for each chromosome there is 1 centromere?
