i don't know sorry
rich layers of coral, high diversity = reef slope (E) - the diversity in light and low wave action allows for many species to take advantage of all the available niches stout fire corals = algal ridge (A) - because the ridge is exposed to very high wave action, the corals here have to be stout and keep their projections facing into the waves to avoid breakage black-tip reef shark = reef flat (C) - this is a shallow water species gorgonians = reef slope (E) - these are too fragile to be found in the higher areas with their degree of wave action (Although, if you can use each letter only once, then I suppose these could be in what you call the "submarine terrace" (D) because they are usually found just below the spur & groove zone.) spurs & grooves = terrace (if that's what they're using for the buttress zone) (B) - this is where the corals grow outward, but the grooves allow for dampening of wave action
