Don't be shy..it's just mental. Be confident that you sing good and if you don't then...you should be very nervous.>:)(:

if it's something that you truly love doing then focus on your inner feelings while singing, focus on controlling your vocals, and ignore anyone around you. :))

focus on what your doing and ignore who's watching, works for me. Just think about your power and your breathing. Hope that helps bud!

For me, I use to be EXTREMELY shy while singing. I wouldn't even sing in front of my parents or in the shower if I new they were home. The main reason why I was shy was probably because one of my best friends told me I sucked at singing when I was younger (She told me like 2 years later that she was just jealous since she sounded like a dying cat). Anyway, that's not the point. When I turned, i think, 10? I made a new group of friends that I was really comfortable with. I would do, what my friend called, concerts during lunch (Which I still do. I break out into song a lot...) mainly because I was comfortable around them and it was fun. I still don't like singing in front of my parents, but when I'm with my friends, I willingly and subconsciously burst out into song when we are at the mall or in school. So my advice is, find someone/s that you feel really comfortable with. Don't even think about singing and trying to sound like Adele, just think about having fun and goofing off with your friends.

Start to feel what you are singing and you will forget that you are singing in front of people.

Look to the back of the hall or theatre and avoid eyecontact.
