plz help book: to kill a mocking bird: a symbol in literature refers to a tangible object that represents an abstract idea or set of ideas. consider mrs Dubos's camellias and how they grew back after jem mutilated them. what might the camellias symbolize in this novel?
The camellias could symbolize that even though Tom Robinson is getting accused and beaten up, he is still trying to fight and rise up against his accusation. Attius is trying his hardest to ensure that Tom is innocent. He does everything in his power to save Tom and keep his life growing.
Hope this helps! :)
this is awesome thanks a lot!! but how did u no the answer ?
u found it in the book?
I read the book last year, and I said what I thought it would symbolize to me :)
oh can u help wit another ques?
it might be said that the events in chapters ten and eleven served mainly to develop the character of Atticus. what was learned about Atticus's character in the incidents with mad dog and mrs dubose? how might these character traits help him in the trial that faces him?
I'll try to help. and give me a couple of minutes
ok np :)
hey were u able to figure anything out?
With the mad dog, Jem and Scout did not know that Attius was a good shot. they called him "feeble" that, age keeps him from doing the sorts of things other children's fathers would do. Also with the mad dog Attius didn't lose his cool or footing he was calm in the face of danger. Attius is more than meets the eye. Also with mrs dubose, even though she made nasty comments about Mr. Finch he was still kind to you, and made Jem read to her. He kept her secret about her addiction until she passed. So he can be named trustworthy, and he is very brave. With his upcoming trials, Attius is very smart and can outwit someone, also he will do whatever he can to make sure Tom is safe. Even though Tom's case is risky Attius braves through it and he is calm and replies on his knowledge. :)
