What is the probability that the person's skin cleared up given that they used the medication? A. 10% B. 20% C. 30% D. 60%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on something is missing from the venn diagram

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't make this diagram, this is the question :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which circle represents the number of people who cleared up?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think 20% because then there are 20 mabels

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think so, too because it says "given they used the meds"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

something is really wrong here they have two circles, one seems to be the people who used the medicine the other is the people who did not but they overlap with 30 people! how can 30 people use it and not use it at the same time?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but to be sure add up how many things there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was wondering that same thing!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think this was written by someone who is confused not you, the person that wrote the problem it makes no sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok well if i were you i would go with 20% there is 100% there and so that means 20 is 20%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks, guys :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it looks like you have 20 who used it 10 who did not 30 who both used it and didn't use it, and 40 that apparently are in some other category maybe they are aliens

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol maybe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

love to know where this problem came from what text

OpenStudy (anonymous):

me too i was mention i will be back
