Mathematics 39 Online
OpenStudy (science0229):

(I'm not trying to brag, but this is the truth) I'm currently in 8th grade, taking Pre-Calculus Honors. I took Algebra II in 6th grade and Geometry Honors in 7th grade. They say that in freshman, I'll take Calc BC. In my case, what would be my sequential math courses in order?

OpenStudy (science0229):

Up to college.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

You'll most likely have to go to some nearby college or online education of some sort for classes beyond Calc BC.

OpenStudy (science0229):

What are the classes (in order) beyond Calc BC?

OpenStudy (tfht):

you are too smart lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cal1, Cal2, Cal3, Diff. Equation, Linear Algebra , and depends what major you're in, you will have to take higher math courses

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Beyond calculus, you study what you need for your area of interest. There are certainly plenty of topics!

OpenStudy (science0229):

What if I want to major in math and theoretical physics?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

I had a pal at Stanford years ago who was a PhD student in math. He was 12. It didn't work out quite as anyone expected. Don't get too wound up in mapping out your entire future, as it's unlikely to work out exactly as planned. Degree requirements depend on the school. Do some exploration. Having knowledge in other areas will probably make you more useful than jamming in every possible class in what you think your target area is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know about theoretical physics but for math, most likely Real Analysis, Number Theory, Topology, Graph Theory, Cryptography, etc,... I won't take them all. Depends on what university you'll be in, you only need some of them to get a Bachelor degree. But by the time you graduate, you'll choose a specific branch of math to specialize in

OpenStudy (science0229):

Ok. I'm planning take online math education in websites because I truly enjoy math. Thank you, @sourwing and @whpalmer4, for answering with details!

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

For my own part, I know that my interests changed substantially after I got midway through a degree program. Stuff that seemed like it would be really cool, eh, not so much. Stuff that hadn't caught my attention earlier, did. The key is getting a good foundation, and learning how to learn on your own. Just because you're done going to school doesn't mean you get to slack off in the learning department, often much the opposite!

OpenStudy (science0229):

Okay.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

The great availability of material online should be a boon for you! Pace yourself :-)
