I know this isn't exactly the subject or website really to be posting this question on, but the things I'm finding online aren't really telling me much. So here's the deal. I'm looking into becoming a Psychotherapist, but I dropped out of school in the 8th grade due to many family problems and bad situations. I couldn't stay in school, and because of my situations I made bad decisions and dropped out. I haven't gotten my GED yet, but I'm looking into it very soon. More info in description. --

In order to become a psychologist you must graduate from a four-year undergraduate college or university, spend an average of seven years in graduate education and training to earn a doctoral degree, and also have an additional year of post-doctoral supervised experience before they can practice independently in any health care arena. From what I've read online. Since I dropped out of school, would it still be possible to get into a good college for psychology?

going to be a long road i would suggest getting your GED, then enrolling for a couple semesters in whatever local community college you have ace some courses, and then transfer many community colleges have agreements with state schools that will transfer credits talk to an adviser there and see what your bets options are

We have Lively Community College here so I'll see what I can do. I'm just making sure that it's actually still possible. I was hoping in joining a college in the UK area which is where I plan on moving to and going to college there would be amazing. But instead of babbling about my future, I should be thanking you. So, thank you!
