When doing flexibility exercises: Tension should be felt There should be no discomfort Discomfort should be mild When mild discomfort is reached, the stretch is increased by bouncing I'm sure it's either A or C

Its A. your obviously supposed to feel a little discomfort, because that is normal. Discomfort is mild only when you have been doing that same exercise for a while and because you are trying to stretch the muscle you need to slowly stretch the muscle in order to get the actin and myosin filaments at the proper length for optimum contraction. Bouncing while stretching causes quick pulls on the muscle making it less stretched than one that is slowly stretched.
