What is the behavior of a capacitor when initially being exposed to a current and then remaining exposed to it for a long time?

OpenStudy (farcher):

Impossible to answer with certainty unless more information is given. For example if it is a constant current source then because Q = CV dQ/dt = I = C dV/dt and so the voltage across the capacitor rises linearly with time (as does the charge stored in the capacitor). If it is a constant voltage source then the voltage across the capacitor approaches the voltage of the source asymptotically.

if it's dc it will charge, and the current will flow, after a short period of time it will be charged and no current will flow.
