When a sound source is moving away from an observer, the observer will hear a lower pitch. This is due to an increase in the frequency of the sound wave. a decrease in the amplitude of the sound wave. an increase in the amplitude of the sound wave. a decrease in the frequency of the sound wave.

decrease in frequency of sound wave

OpenStudy (rock_mit182):

yeah all because of the doppler effect

OpenStudy (rock_mit182):

the magnitude of the Amplitude in a wave represents the change in volume. it's frequency represents the change in sound. for lower sounds, lower frequencies(like in a bass); for higher sounds- hiegher frequencies (whistle).
