OpenStudy (keana):

Point G is located at (3, −1) and point H is located at (−2, 3). Find the x value for the point that is 2/3 the distance from point G to point H. a. 1.5 b. −0.33 c. −0.5 d. 6.33

OpenStudy (atlas):

The x of the new point will be 2/3 of the x(G) and x(H)

OpenStudy (phi):

find the x distance from G's x value (3 ) to H's x value (-2) the distance from 3 to -2 is 5 in the negative direction. or -5 in other words if we start at 3 and add -5 we end up at 3-5= -2 you want to go ⅔ of that distance so do 3+ ⅔ (-5) = -⅓ as the x value of the point you are looking for. do the same for the y value
