How do i solve problems like this one
Just one moment, ok? I need to make sure I remember correctly how to do this.
okay take your time :D
Alright, I believe I remember how to do this correctly, but correct me (anyone) if I'm wrong. I'd say to set the angle given over the side length given. With this, you can set up two of these with only one thing missing. Can you think of the problem so far? I'll make a picture to show ya.

now, solve for x
Ohh i just have to set up a proportion' easy lol
yep. So what'd you get as your answer?
let me work it out
sure, take your time. :P
wait I got 5.83 and that is not one of the choices i was given
what are your choices?
26.2 10.5 8.6 12.3
Alright, so with this one you'll need to use your trig functions. Do you know how to use sine, cosine, and tangent?
i dont remember, can you explain really quick ?
Certainty! Have you ever heard of chief Sohcahtoa?
nope
Well, then this is your lucky day! The chief's name is a way of remembering the trig functions, as follows: "S=o/h", or: Sine=opposite/hypotenuse. Also, "C=a/h", or: Cosine=adjacent/hypotenuse. And finally, "T=o/a", or: Tangent = opposite/adjacent. Thus, we get SohCahToa, or chief Sohcahtoa.
So, what you need to do is look at your problem and find where, when a trig function (Sin, cos, or tan) is put with the given angle, it can be solved with the two pieces of info you have/need. By that I mean: what is the side (with length "x") in relation to the given angel of 35 degrees? Your choices are opposite, adjacent, or hypotenuse.
hypotenuse
I'm afraid not. The hypotenuse is ALWAYS the longest side of a 90 degree triangle.
Ohh now im confused lol
