Which of these is true of an inelastic collision between two objects in a closed system but not of an elastic collision? Total momentum is conserved. Total kinetic energy is conserved. Kinetic energy is less after the collision. Total momentum is not conserved.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@roadjester Hey :)

OpenStudy (roadjester):

When you have an elastic collision, you have both conservation of linear momentum and conservation of kinetic energy. In an inelastic collision, part of the kinetic energy is dissipated as a result of the objects sticking together.

OpenStudy (roadjester):

That should give you the answer. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

... C?

OpenStudy (roadjester):

indeed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Gracias :)

OpenStudy (roadjester):

De nada.
