In the center of town, there is a square park with a side length of 30 ft. If a person walks from one corner of the park to opposite corner, How far does the person walk? Round to the nearest foot.

Well if you mean opposite by the diagonal corner, it's solved by using Pythagorean so 30^2+30^2=c^2 which gives you 30sqrt(2) which is 42ft
